TRAP NEUTER RELEASE

WHAT DOES THE WORD "HESED" STAND FOR?

Hesed is one of the richest, most powerful Hebrew words in the Old Testament.

Hesed is difficult to translate as no single English word can capture the totality of the meaning.

Translators have used many words like kindness, mercy, loyalty, strong, everlasting and steadfast love to convey the completeness and intensity.

Hesed is not something people "feel."

It is not a "mood."

It is something people DO for other people who have no claim on them.

Love is something we do, not primarily something we feel.

The word is chosen for this programme simply because it reflects the characteristic of God's love and faithfulness (hesed ve'emet) towards creation - doing loving things for creation.

HOW DOES IT WORK? WHY "SUSPENDED"?

This is basically a Pay-it-forward Project  initiated by Light of Life Veterinary Clinic, to assist the reduction of unwanted and abandoned feline population in our community.

Donors can choose to donate SGD$25 to the clinic's project, at a frequency they feel most comfortable, to assist any stray cats in need of the sterilization (neutering/spay) procedure.

To maintain transparency, each donor will receive an unique voucher number for each SGD$25 they donate.

An announcement will be made on our social media platforms once the beneficiary has claimed it.

Donors can then verify it with their own voucher numbers.

We rescue, sterilize, care for and rehome stray animals independently.

We do not run a shelter or have a premise to shelter stray animals.

We believe that certain cases are assigned specifically to us and each entails a life lesson for us.

We know our own limitations and are

thankful for the many good Samaritans we met along our walk, who have reached out to help us help the animals.

We will refer cases to relevant authorities, hospitals, groups or individuals where we deem appropriate.
